A Comparative Investigation of the Speech Associated Responses of Adults who Stutter and Adults who Not Stutter

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate to similarities and differences in the type of speech associated responses to of adult who stutter and adults who not stutter. Self-Report questionnaire, was administered to 11 adult who stutter and 11 adults who not stutter. The results of this study were as follows. First, There was significant difference between-group in number of speech associated responses. Second, There was showed between-group differences in the type of speech associated responses of these subjects. This suggests that quantitative and qualitative differences in the responses of subjects are useful with respect to differential diagnostic and therapeutic decision making.
